ZR154™ USB Stick w/PIFA Antenna

The MSPtech ZR154-01-C is identical to MSPtech’s first USB Stick, the ZR154-01-A, except that it incorporates an internal PIFA (Planar Inverted "F" Antenna) equipped JN5139-based module that is highly efficient and provides 2.0dBi of gain. This is a PIFA Antennasignificant improvement over the chip antenna used in the ZR154-01-A. This greater gain and efficiency provides the benefit of greater range and inherently better quality of signal. As with the ZR154-01-A, the "C" version is fully compatible with the iEEE 802.15.4 wireless protocol, can be configured with a Zigbee protocol stack and other Jennic JN5139 available protocol stacks, such as JenNet.

The ZR154™ easily connects to your PC via a built-in USB 2.0 compliant interface. The USB interface allows trouble free interfacing to Windows, Linux based PCs and USB embedded systems. The ZR154™ is software configurable for many applications, including Long Range RFID Reader; Data Logger; Point-to-Point Wireless UART; ZigBee / 802.15.4 Packet Sniffer, ZigBee-based coordinator, Router, or end-device. The ZR154™ has a range of up to 400 feet, providing a convenient way to gather data wirelessly and upload it to your PC. Configured with a device networking layer, up to 1000 nodes can be readily accessed. Or a simple point-to-point and star networks can be easily accomplished without any network layer.

USB Stick ZR154When used with the specially designed AC Adapter, the ZR154 - pre-configured as a router, coordinator, or other end-device, etc. - will operate without need for a PC or other USB host. Simply connect the ZR154 to the USB slot in the AC adapter and plug the pair into any AC outlet (120V) and the ZR154 is immediately active. Can be used for network backbone, to expand the range of an existing network, or strengthen existing networks, allowing other wireless devices to seamlessly communicate.

This extremely versatile platform offers OEMs an elegant, low cost solution for many 802.15.4 network infrastructure uses.
